Zovirax 800 Tablet is a prescription antiviral medication containing acyclovir. Acyclovir is a prescription drug that works by inhibiting the activity of the herpes simplex virus (HSV) which is converted into the inactive form, Varicella andymovirus, whichdaqovir. Zovirax 800 Tablet is used to treat the viral infections caused by herpes simplex viruses such as genital herpes, cold sores, and chickenpox. It helps to reduce symptoms and suppress the replication process of the virus. Zovirax 800 Tablet may be used in the treatment of viral infections (such as cold sores, genital herpes), such as common cold, but it has some side effects. Zovirax 800 Tablet should not be used by people who have a viral infection (such as the type 1) or who are allergic to acyclovir, valacyclovir, or any other component of the medicine. Other medicines and herbal supplements that can interact with Zovirax 800 Tablet include atovaquone, meperidine, lidocaine, morphine, oxycodone, oxypropidine, and hydatid warts.
Zovirax 800 Tablet may be taken with or without food intake. Before taking Zovirax 800 Tablet, inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, or heart problems. The dosage of Zovirax 800 Tablet may be increased or decreased depending on the cause. In some cases, Zovirax 800 Tablet may be stopped suddenly as a result of shaking or stiff feeling. In other cases, Zovirax 800 Tablet is gradually reduced or stopped as a result of side effects. Continue taking Zovirax 800 Tablet even if you feel well.
